Boulder Park Naming Project Finds Astronauts, Abolitionists And A lot Of White Guys

A group of 70 CU students in collaboration with Boulder city staff have created an archive of park names for the city of Boulder The project, which investigates the name of 82 parks, took around two years to complete. Hundreds of research hours later, they cataloged the stories on the city’s website. 

 KGNU’s Alexis Kenyon spoke with Phoebe Young, a professor of history who co-led the project for CU’s History Department.
