Shedemic: How Women Are Faring Nearly Two Years Into The Pandemic

Debra Jackson is an activist, philanthropist, and entrepreneur who – until recently – lived many years in Denver. She’s the owner and founder of D-Jack’s Administrative Services and is an administrative expert who has dedicated her successful career for over 15 years to helping others focus on optimizing their full business potential. Prior starting her Virtual Administrative business in May 2020, Debra specialized in the insurance industry for nearly 17 years with Travelers Insurance. Debra has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management in Christian Leadership and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colorado Christian University.

Debra is passionate about philanthropy and outreach and is most proud of her work and past affiliations with groups in Colorado such as Save Our Youth, United Way, Family Promise, and Habitat for Humanity. Currently Debra serves as Member, Secretary, and Chair of Planning & Fundraising Committee on the Board of Directors for the Council on Aging (COA) a nonprofit agency that serves people ages 60 and older in Union County, NC where the mission is to advocate for the well-being of older adults by providing services and resources for them to live independently.

She shares a home in North Carolina with her sister, and their cat Angel. In her spare time, she enjoys the arts & culture, fantastic food, long road trips, the beach, discovering new places, meeting people, and all genres of music. Debra is committed to her family, friends, and to making a difference in the lives of others one task at a time!

Debra sat down with Tish Beauford for the December 23, 2021 edition of “A Public Affair” to discuss the challenging transition from the corporate to the entrepreneurial world, her passion and motivation behind her activism and her dedication to her sister, Monica.
