Nature Almanac – Jewelwing Damselflies at Flagg Park in Lafayette

Jeweling Damselflies are a relative of dragonflies, with an iridescent emerald body. Their big black wings make them look like butterflies. A gem of a stream at Flagg Park in Lafayette is home to many Jewelwings in July. Naturalists Scott Severs and Ruth Carol Cushman report.
