Michael Reis Thistle & Elizabeth Crowe City of Boulder

The City of Boulder is turning sugar consumption into infrastructure upgrades within mobile home parks. The money for these infrastructure improvements are coming largely from the city’s Health Equity Fund, which receives proceeds from a tax on sodas and other sugary beverages.

The Mapleton Mobile Home Park Association recently inaugurated infrastructure improvements there. KGNU’s Rossana Longo attended the event and spoke with Michael Reis, Real Estate Development Manager of Thistle Communities of Colorado and Elizabeth Crowe Human Services Investments Manager from City of Boulder.
