The Cannabis Report – June 16th, 2021

This time on the Cannabis Report, cannabis reporter Leland Rucker takes a look at some cannabis news out of Boulder. Tuesday night, Boulder City Council, in a second reading that included a public hearing, voted to give direction to staff against adding vaping devices and cartridges that transport marijuana to its anti-tobacco ordinance passed by voters last November.

Staff, through city attorney Kathy Haddock, argued the original intent of the ordinance was to tax both cannabis and tobacco vaporizing products, but city staff make a mistake and wanted to correct the record. Council wasn’t buying that. We’ll hear how the debate played out.
