Looking for something to do with your kids this weekend? The Mexican American Cultural Center of Denver is partnering with museums and cultural institutions across the metro area to celebrate Día del Niño – or Children’s Day. The day is traditionally celebrated on April 30th in Mexico. Most of this year’s activities are online and include bilingual visits to the Denver Zoo, bilingual storytime at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and age-tailored workshops from the Clyfford Still Museum.

Residents of Boulder County can drop by the Firehouse Arts Center in Longmont, the Broomfield Library or the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art between now and the end of the month to pick up take home crafting kits to make the traditional craft known as papel picado. Shannon Young dropped by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and spoke with its Deputy Director, Gwen Burak.
