There is an annual GAYLA in Boulder that is one of the biggest LGBTQ events in Boulder county. Host Karen Raforth interviews some of the key players: Mrs. Eda Bagel, gender illusion technician (aka Jeffrey Kash), Juan Moreno, OutBoulder Special Events Manager, and Mardi Moore, Executive Director of OutBoulder County. She also asks each about how they are coping with COVID and other events plus what gives them hope.
The GAYLA is very focused on fun and as a community builder plus a fundraiser for those who are able this year. The Halloween fundraiser will have some innovative ways to build community interaction and allow the queer and allied communities to mingle –something we are all longing for.
The fundraiser is primarily for OutBoulder but also the Open Door Fund. The Community Foundation serving Boulder county oversees the Open Door Fund that was initiated in 1996 and supported by the foundation and community ever since to fund LGBTQ projects in the county.
