March 4 Black Women Denver 2020

On September 26th, 2020, March 4 Black Women Denver celebrated its 4th year of elevating and celebrating Black Women and Women of Color. Co-founders and organizers Shontel Lewis and Karen Roberts Grissom join Tish Beauford on A Public Affair to discuss how they became a part of this growing grassroots sister movement of the National Black Women’s March.

They also shared a preview of what was in store for this year’s upcoming march and rally during a very critical time of inflection and reckoning of racial inequality in this country.

The 4th Annual March 4 Black Women Denver “Silence In Solidarity” March For Black Lives was a phenomenal success. The community came out unified in solidarity showing incredible support in uplifting and appreciating the voices of Black Women as they sang, cried, prayed and shared their personal stories of struggle, obstacles and perseverance in what was a day of deeply moving and caring consciousness, grace and love.
