Like other Front Range cities, throngs of people came out on Saturday in Longmont to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Listen to the report:
Angel Sanchez with El Comite, a group formed in response to the 1980 shooting of two young Latinos by a police officer in Longmont, told KGNU’s Elena Klaver that the entire community needs to take action to make meaningful structural change.
“Whether you’re impacted or not, whether you’re worried about walking out your front door, we’re impacted together, we’re a community and what happens to one happens to all.”
