Angela Lawson has lived most of her in life in Colorado. She is the daughter of an Air Force veteran and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and three Master’s degrees from the University of Colorado at Denver in the fields of Public Administration, Social Science and Public Policy from Georgetown University.
For fourteen years she has worked at the Colorado Secretary of State’s office and is currently serving as the Manager of the Lobbyist Division. As a fourth year At-Large Council Member, Angela currently serves on the following policy committees: Parks, Foundations, Quality of Life Committee, Management & Finance, Transportation, Airports and Public Works, Aurora Economic Development Council, Colorado Municipal League and National League of Cities.
She has authored and supported specific legislation for the City of Aurora including the Massage Facility Licensing Ordinance that passed on June 23, 2018.
