Host Glenda Russell talks with local attorney (including for the Amendment 2 case) and author Jeanne Winer about her latest novel “Her Kind of Case,” , and her life as a real attorney as well as a story teller.
“Her Kind of Case,” will be published by Bancroft Press on August 15, 2018. The book is a legal drama that takes place in Boulder.
The heroine, Lee Isaacs, is a female criminal defense attorney unhappily contemplating her sixtieth birthday. In this book, she represents a teenage boy accused of helping a group of skinheads kick a gay man to death. The book is all about homophobia, religious intolerance, and aging. It’s heavy but it’s also very entertaining. And funny.
Jeanne will be speaking and signing books at the Boulder Bookstore on August 23 or at the Tattered Cover on Colfax September 9.
