Join our expert panelists Douglas Noll and Jill Schmidt as we explore the escalation and de-esclation of anger. What happens in situations that get the best, or worst, of us? What can we do when confronted by an angry co-worker, family member or neighbor? What are genuinely useful strategies for managing our own anger?
Douglas Noll, author of De-Escalate: How to Calm an Angry Person in 90 Seconds or Less, will join us to explore the possibilities and offer practical answers. Doug Noll has been in professional practice for over 40 years as an attorney, mediator, and peacemaker. He has developed a unique set of skills that work the first time, every time. He works in places as diverse as Fortune 500 executive suites and maximum security prisons, teaching these deep skills.
Jill Schmidt holds a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. Since 2013, Jill has been connected with The Conflict Center, a Denver non-profit that teaches communication skills, emotional intelligence, anger and conflict management classes and restorative justice practices. With The Conflict Center she teaches classes in conflict and anger management classes for youth and adults.
