Apache Stronghold Caravan Makes Denver Stop: Exposes US Destruction of Sacred Sites

A caravan is on its way to the nation’s capital today from Oak Flat in Arizona.  Native American communities from the area along with others who want to stop the copper mining activity of the international Rio Tinto mining company want to protect their sacred spiritual sites.  The caravan stopped in Denver yesterday to gather at the Four Winds American Indian Center.  Those on the trip talked to the audience about US and corporate involvement in destruction of their land and environment including the multiple bills they have prevented from passing.
