“I spent 10 years at an impasse with my daughter. Talk about wasting my time, God’s time, her time…”

Denver author Patricia Raybon‘s latest book is Undivided–A Muslim Daughter, Her Christian Mother, Their Path to Peace. It chronicles the journey that she went on in her relationship with her daughter Alana after Alana’s conversion to Islam in 2001 while a college student.

Patricia says the book is for mothers and daughters struggling with interfaith tensions , but is equally meaningful for mothers and daughters who feel divided by tensions in general.  She says her and Alana’s journey shows the possibilities of connecting despite difference  “that” says Patricia “is the better way.”

Patricia Raybon will be speaking at the Denver Press Club on Thursday May 21st at 6pm at an event organized by Journalism and Women Symposium/ Society of Professional Journalists
