The Melody-Catalpa Bee Safe Neighborhood was designated earlier this year as the state’s first “bee-safe” neighborhood. That means that at least 200 of its households have pledged to avoid use of systemic pesticides believed harmful to honeybee colonies.
Molly Greacen and two neighbors got the Bee Safe initiative started and now they are helping other neighborhoods in Boulder get the designation.
They will host an informational meeting on Wednesday July 9th from 7-9pm at the Boulder Elk’s Lodge, 3975 28th St.
