The day long event at the McNichols Civic Center in Denver is being organized by the Colorado Technology Association. Frani Mathews, CEO of the CTA and Aidan Mitchell , Vice President and General Manager of IoT Global Solutions at Arrow Electronics, one of the tech companies sponsoring the event join us to discuss how technology is improving people’s lives.”Technology is actually the enabler for inclusivity.” — Frani Mathews.

One example of local municipalities currently using technology is a partnership between the city of Lonetree and Uber. The Lonetree Link on Demand System, which helps connect people with the light rail system. “That’s a very real, simple use of data and applications to move people.” Mitchell also cites efforts by local police departments to use technology to improve public safety from gun shot detection technology to gas detection.
