This week on Booktalk, Philip Connors talks about his first book “Fire Season: Field Notes from a Wilderness Lookout.”

The author spends his summers perched in a tower looking for smoke high in the Gila National Forest in New Mexico. His contact with the outside world, the US Forest Service, is a 2-way radio. His most recent book is “All the Wrong Places: A Life Lost and Found.”
