Radio Nibbles: The Well-Fruited Summer & Nutty Buddy Ban

Posted: July 7, 2016 at 8:06 am by , in Featured, Morning Magazine, Radio Nibbles

This week on Radio Nibbles, John Lehndorff talks about this season’s local bounty of strawberries, peaches, cherries, and apricots. Also a reminder to get to the farmers market early this weekend for the freshest batch of raspberries.

Also, a comment on the City of Boulder’s ban on ice cream and other sugary snacks at its public pools’ snack bars. Note: Boulder is now reconsidering the ban due to resident backlash.

John Lehndorff is the former food editor at the Daily Camera, dining critic for the Rocky Mountain News, and Chief Judge at the National Pie Championships, now back in print in the Boulder Weekly.

He hosts Radio Nibbles Thursdays at 8:25 a.m. on KGNU (88.5 FM, 1390 AM, and streaming at kgnu.org)
