Patti Mason with The Colorado Chapter of the USGBC says they work a lot with school districts and state and local governments as well as private development and non profits, all trying to be more sustainable in their building practices. 152 building projects in Colorado received the LEED certification in 2014.
The USGBC Colorado chapter is now seeking out non-profits who are working towards sustainability as part of their Inspire Colorado story-teller contest.
Colorado non-profit organizations are invited to submit a 5-7 minute video of their most compelling storyteller by Monday, February 23rd on the theme of sustainability and community. Three finalists will compete live for a $2,500 prize at the Rocky Mountain Green conference on Thursday, April 2nd.
